Free Wheel Alignment Check at ELCO Chevrolet
When you pull into the service lanes at ELCO Chevrolet you'll find some sensors on the ground that we'll direct you to drive over. These special sensors inspect your tires' tire alignment and tread depth, giving us a high-tech view of how your tires and alignment system is operating. This way if there's anything out of the ordinary we can spot it and see what needs to be done to make your alignment and the life and performance of your tires as optimal as possible.
Best of all, this check is completely free! After driving over the sensors you'll be given a colored read out of your tires and alignment for future reference. This free alignment scan is just one of the ways ELCO Chevrolet is the premier Chevrolet dealer in the Ballwin and St. Louis area! Schedule your service appointment today!
What is a Wheel Alignment?
While it's often referred to simply as an "alignment," it's actually the measurement and adjustment of several suspension angles and a variety of suspension components. This makes an alignment an important suspension-tuning tool that greatly influences the operation of your vehicle and how long your tires will last. An accurate wheel alignment is critical to balance the tread wear and performance of a vehicle's tires.
Routine wheel alignments will usually save you as much in tire wear as they cost and should be considered as a necessary preventative maintenance. Out-of-alignment conditions occur when the suspension and steering systems are not operating at their desired angles. Out-of-alignment conditions are most often caused by spring sag or suspension wear on an older vehicle. They can also be the result of an impact with a pothole or curb, or a change in vehicle ride height (lowered or raised) on any vehicle, regardless of age.
